Marianna “Nana” Musso, born in Palermo, Sicily 1898 is the inspiration behind everything we make for you. She arrived at Ellis Island in 1906 and lived in Brooklyn, NYC. She would marry and have 4 children, tragically losing her only son to the mistakes of an intoxicated physician. Years later in 1921, her husband suffered a crippling fall at a construction site and Nana cared for his every need until his death in 1944. Life was difficult, but hard work and perseverance allowed her to live a simple life that revolved around family. Nana passed in 2000 but remains in our hearts always. She was an amazing woman.

Growing up with an Italian mother, we spent a lot of time with Nana as well as my grandmother. They spent the day be in the kitchen, speaking Italian and preparing the feast we would all enjoy that day. All of our recipes start with “the gravy”. It’s the key component and base to most of our food. This family recipe has been passed down for more than 100 years.

Our Lasagna is something special. It’s a laborious two day process and a meal I always looked forward to at every holiday. The combination of our famous meatballs and gravy, with sausage, italian cheeses and other ingredients make this the centerpiece of our menu.

From our kitchen to your table, we know your family will look forward to this time and time again. I’ve always told my friends and family that I make all of my food with love, and that’s why it tastes so good. Please know that there is a little Nana in every bite!
